A Royal Stamp of Approval

At the beginning of June, Ards & North Down Borough Council invited us to attend Meet the Maker in Conway Square Newtownards.

We attended this event expecting to possibly meet the council’s Lord Mayor – unfortunately Tracey was working over at her Farmhouse Kitchen, so Joe attended solo.

After getting suited and booted for the event, a surprise guest arrived! King Charles visited the event while on a visit to Northern Ireland and showed great interest in Strangford Zero Gin. He commented on the rise in people looking for zero alcohol products and agreed that it is very beneficial for your health. King Charles was especially interested in the botanicals that reside in our gin, and how we harvest them from Strangford Lough. He found the inclusion of sea aster to be particularly unusual.

He had a taste and seemed to love it!

For us it was a fantastic day, to both share our unique product with the King and to highlight our brand to the public.

Joe hasn’t stopped talking about it since!
